Collar made from wide, white ribbon with satin stripes folded and stitched, trimmed with strip of narrower white ribbon gathered with green ribbon sewn through center and lace edging; three lengths of matching trimming probably used for a collar and cuffs

Inscription

Written on label sewn to collar: "Fichu worn with flowered poplin 1854/ Mrs. John O. Sargent/ Perhaps also with high neck wast of white moire antique (wedding dress) [49.881]"
