Woman's cap (coif) and forehead cloth of undyed linen embroidered with silver and gilt-silver yarns and spangles in daffodil scroll pattern. Good condition. Same pattern as 43.243. [Coif (a), forehead cloth (b)]


Originally belonged to the Wodehouse family, Kimberley, Norfolk, England; Purchased in London by Elizabeth Day McCormick, early 20th century; Gift to the MFA, 1943
