Tent hanging

Tent hanging with fine white wool warps, heavier wool wefts. White ground, grouped stripes of red, green, yellow and black. Stripes are widely spaced in the center, close together at ends (different pattern at each end). Large tassels at ends, tied together with wrapped cords.

About 1893, purchased in Algeria by Mr. and Mrs. Thornton K. Lothrop; 1913, gift of the Lothrops to the MFA. (Accession Date: November 6, 1913)
