Crimson ground with an all-over pattern in white and greenish blue showing leafy carnation plants with blossoms seen from top and side, connected by serpentine stalks. Nestled among these are quatrefoil medallions containing conventionalized lilies and rosettes. Pile worn. A few wax stains.


By 1939, Adolph Loewi, Venice and Los Angeles; 1951, sold by Loewi to the MFA for $220. (Accession Date: January 11, 1951)
