Piece of velvet

The ground is of green cut velvet; the design of leaves, with clearly marked ribs, and very conventional forms, probably meant for flowers, is of yellow silk, and green cut and uncut velvet. B is much stained.

B was acquired by the donor by exchange with the Pratt Institute of Brooklyn, N.Y.From a Collection bought by them of Salvadore & Son, of Florence, Italy, 1897.
