Piece of brocade

The ground is of corded light blue silk covered with undulating lines of the same color. The design of rows of conventional flowers in profile, is woven with gold thread, which shows in places the yellow silk foundation.


97.485 - 97.596 were acquired by the donor by exchange with the Pratt Institute of Brooklyn, N.Y.,From the Collection bought by them of Salvadore & Son of Florence, Italy, in 1897
