Pendant necklace

Large rectangular dendritic agate hung from a gold tube bail set with a diamond. Below the agate are branch-like motifs with three diamonds and two topazes. The chain is commercial.

Impressed eagle's head on top of bale. Maker's mark (O and T separated by a column) on back of bale.

Provenance

Before 2008, purchased by gemologist Mona Nesseth, CA, at Jean Vendome, Paris, France; 2009, year-end gift from Nesseth to the MFA (Accession date: January 20, 2010)
