Navette-shaped ring

This oval ring with scalloped edge has five, central rose-cut diamonds surrounded by 16 smaller diamonds of similar cut.




Probably about 1920s/1930s, acquired by Munia Gabay Weinstock (b. about 1900), Brooklyn, NY; before 1939, by inheritance to her sister-in-law, Sophia Worth; before 2011, by inheritance to her niece, Dinah Libby Weinstock Foglia; before 2011, by inheritance to her daughter, Kim Bianca Foglia (b. 1958 - d. 2011); January 4, 2011, by inheritance to her daughter, Emma Brown, South Huntington, NY; 2013, gift of Brown to the MFA.
