Fragment of tapestry with eccentric weft

Undyed linen tabby-woven ground, with an inwoven tapestry roundel and a band. Pattern wefts are in purple wool with geometric designs in linen. Roundel has an undulating vine frame and the band shows guilloche designs. Many holes in ground. Wool much rotted out.
