Fragment of tapestry

Roundel ornament of very fine texture. Tapestry wefts are of purple wool and undyed linen, on undyed linen warps. Central field shows honeycombed circles; encircling this, a narrow band showing a leafy vine. Traces of undyed linen tabby-woven ground fabric around edges. Stains.
