Fragment of a clavus

Warp of linen; ground of red wool; design in yellow, green, dark-blue and red wool and natural-colored linen; sewed onto a fragment of linen cloth. Design shows two plant motifs and a branch that forms an oval unit enclosing a tree. The frame, which survived on one side only shows connected discs.
