Chasuble

The ground, which is soft grayish violet damask, is powdered with small rosettes woven with gold thread. This brocade is 16th-17th century but the chasuble is partly made of pieces of 19th century brown and white brocade and violet silk. It is trimmed with silver lace, much worn.
