Bobbin lace

Merletto a fuselli. This piece was made in the provinces between Milan and Venice. The tape work is that of the true Milanese lace but the bar or brides were made in imitation of the needle work bars of the Venetian point lace, which gives a very rich effect. Crocheted edge sewed on.
