Originally thought to have been worn by Elizabeth Hyslop Sumner (1757-1810); More likely worn by her mother, Mehetable Stoddard Hyslop (1719-1792) of Boston, who married William Hyslop in 1750; Inherited by her great-great-granddaughter, Miss Georgiana Welles Sargent (born 1858) of New York City; Gift of Emily Welles Robbins (Mrs. Harry Pelham Robbins) and the Hon.
