Tjap [block] (batik tool)

Stamp (tjap) for printing wax on cotton, made of thin strips of copper set on edge, and copper wires, soldered to open copper base, with handle. Used for making cheaper type of batik. Design: symmetrical wing pattern, surrounded by fern-like scrolls.
