Tapestry fragment

Start collecting

Fragment of a band with a design of animals on both sides of an undulating branch; woven with pale brown linen and neutral violet wool. The border consists of a crenellated design. The plain violet band on the left suggests that this may be a fragment of a sleeve band. Design shows Roman influence.
