Woman's openwork stockings. Knitted white silk with embroidered and openwork decorative motif on instep. Reinforced toe, heel, and welt. Marked "Paris," "30" and "EED" (in white) at top.

Provenance

Worn by Euretta E. Dougherty at her wedding (25 September 1878) and by Mary Ware at her wedding (29 June 1904). Accepted as apparatus. Made a gift (source unknown) March 14, 1979.
