Man's shoulder bag

Flat rectangular bag embroidered all-over in design of horizontal bands, rose silk herringbone predominating; additional vertical bands and small rosettes of white seeds embroidered over rose silk; two black and tan knotted fringe tassels on bottom corners; black and tan woven handle.

Provenance

This bag was brought by Miss Emily H. Payne from the Burma Hill Tribes early in the twentieth century. She was a missionary.
