Man's or woman's rectangular cotton batik lower body wrapper (kain sarong) with an overall design in the central field (badan) of repeating diamond motifs with fish and a deep band (kepala) with interlocking triangles (tumpal design) and floral motifs in red on a natural ecru ground.

Purchased by donor from the Javanese village at the World's Columbian Exposition; gift to MFA on March 16, 1895
