Linen center with shaped circular border worked in the manner of late 18th century Burano lace, with delicate roses on fine mesh. The pattern was said to be that used on bridal lace for Mussolini's daughter.

Provenance

Bought by the donor in June 1930 at the Scuola Merletti di Burano, on the Island of Burano. The pattern was said to be that used on bridal lace for Mussolini's daughter.
