A band of Flemish bobbin lace up center back of cap crown with fullness of crown gathered into roundel at top of lace insertion , forehead band embriodered with white linen thread in graceful serpentine of small flowering vine, edges finished with flounce of Flemish bobbin lace.

Believed to have been made by Anne Gray Blake for Edward Blake, born in Boston, 1728.
