Provenance

An army officer, who had been stationed in the Lake Lanao area on Mindanao, acquired the piece from Mr. Noros, a local resident. W. E. Healey purchased the piece from the officer. Denman W. Ross purchased the piece from Healey for $10. Ross donated the piece to the MFA on March 10, 1903.
