Provenance

Early 1930s, acquired in Italy by Adolph Loewi, Venice and Los Angeles [see note 1]; 1948, sold by Adolph Loewi to the MFA for $2700. (Accession Date: November 18, 1948) NOTES: [1] This was owned jointly by Ercole Sestieri, and later by his ex-wife Lydia Sestieri.
