Ceremonial cloth (kain songket)

Rectangular violet-red silk ground cloth with overall stylized geometric and floral designs created by supplemental weft patterning in gold and silver (songket). The piece is made up of two lengths hand stitched together down the center and narrow hand stitched hems on each crosswise end.
