By 1937, Giorgio Sangiorgi (b. 1886 - d. 1965), Rome [see note 1]; 1946, sold by Sangiorgi to Adolph Loewi, Los Angeles; 1948, sold by Loewi to the MFA for $230. (Accession Date: May 13, 1948) NOTES: [1] Sangiorgi lent a piece of the same brocade to the exhibition "L'antico tessuto d'arte italiano" (Rome, 1937-1938), cat. no. 23.
