Cotton batik with design of light neutral orange ground with horizontal bands of neutral orange edged with fine curling lines printed with black. Lines of dark blue spots cross the piece diagonally.

Purchased through Dr. Ananda K. Coomaraswamy for the MFA from the Javanese prince Ario Kusumodiningrat, an elder brother of the then reigning sultan in Surakarta (Solo); April7, 1921
