Sample of cotton batik with design of Dark blue ground on which is a design of diagonal lines running in two directions forming diamonds in each of which is a trumpet like flower and several leaves, printed with neutral orange and light yellow orange.

Purchased through Dr. Ananda K. Coomaraswamy for the MFA from the private collection of Javanese prince Ario Kusumodiningrat, an elder brother of the then reigning sultan in Surakarta (Solo); April 21, 1921
