Sample of cotton batik with design of dark blue ground on which is a small lattice design joined at the corners by small rosettes printed with light and dark neutral orange and black, on the blue ground are small white dots.

Purchased through Dr. Ananda K. Coomaraswamy for the MFA from the private collection of the Javanese prince Ario Kusumodiningrat, an elder brother of the then reigning sultan in Surakarta (Solo); April 21, 1921
