Sample of cotton batik with design of alternate rows of dark brown and dark blue diamonds arranged diagonally, the diamonds are framed by wavy lines printed with light and dark neutral orange, inside the diamonds are rosette designs printed in light and dark neutral orange.

Purchased through Dr. Ananda K. Coomaraswamy for the MFA from the private collection of the Javanese prince Ario Kusumodiningrat, an elder brother of the then reigning sultan in Surakarta (Solo); April 21, 1921
