Tall bowl

This tall, slender bowl is fashioned of a light reddish-brown clay fabric. It has a rounded base, convex sides and a this, straight rim. The uppermost body and rim are treated with a red wash and four irregularly spaced incised lines added while turning on a wheel. It is in cracked condition.

Provenance

From Nuri, Pyramid 34 (tomb of Queen Henutirdis). Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: September 1, 2006)
