String of beads

Start collecting

This is a group of fourteen strung short cylinder beads.

Provenance

From Egypt, Kafr Ghattati 2 [K.G.2] tomb 2. 1924: excavated by the Harvard University–Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt. The old tags on the objects were changed post-field collection to read K.G.5 [as was the "unregistered" card in the office filing cabinets]. However, the tomb card clearly shows that the beads were found in debris over the burial in tomb 2, not 5.
