String of beads

Start collecting

This is a string of approximately one hundred and fifty-six garnet, carnelian and amethyst barrel, ring and ball beads with a large carnelian lenticular bead in the center. Included are fourteen garnet barrel beads and sixteen amethyst ball beads. There are also two broken carnelian pieces in a bag.

From Egypt. By 1960: with dealer in Cairo; February 1962: purchased by Miriam W. Graham; 1962-2002: with Miriam W. Graham; 2002: given to the MFA by Miriam W. Graham.
