This cup is made of a reddish clay fabric. It has straight, slightly flaring sides with and plain, unworked rim. It has a wide flat base that was cord-cut or knife-cut, and there are slight finger-hold indentations. Exterior rilling lines are visible. There are no indications of surface treatments.
From Nuri, Pyramid 31 (tomb of Queen Sakaaye), NW foundation deposit. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: August 18, 2006)
