Squat jar with plaster coating

This squat symmetrical jar has a rounded base, no neck, and a rolled, nearly collar-like rim. The exterior of the jar carries a crumbly coating of mud plaster.

From Kerma, Cemetery M, grave 5. 1915: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession date: July 7, 2006)
