Soule Early Childhood Visits October 2016

This group is studing William Merritt Chase, but since that exhibition is not open yet, we will choose something else. The contact at Soule mentioned that the kids were studying birds as part of their nature studies, so for their visits in October we will look at birds in art! Chase apparently also had birds later in his life that he kept in his Studio. We will look at different depictions of birds in art, and determine what characteristics birds have. Then, we will make our own birds in the Classroom afterwards!

I think it would also be great to bring in a book, if there is time, that relates to birds. I will look in the office on Monday for a book related to birds.
