Small squat globular jar

This miniature/model jar is fashioned of a coarse, buff-colored clay fabric with some blackened areas. The body has a tall ovoid shape with a rounded base and a short, straight rim. Other than some nicks in the exterior surface it is in good condition.

From Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal, Building B 100, Sub. 1916: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: September 6, 2006)
