The metal on this ring was originally overlaid with gold. It is now heavily corroded and the bezel is illegible. It was found in the debris of a plundered burial.

From Meroe, Beg. W 212. December, 1922: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of the Sudan.
