This gallery is designed in connection with our class literature study of nursery rhymes and folk tales. The images selected are meant to evoke the prior knowledge of the students in an effort to engage them in discussion about the subject's potential character in a tale or rhyme we have read.
The main artistic vehicles used are examples of Paul Revere pottery from the Saturday Evening Girls. We hope to tie into this gallery study the social context experiences of these immigrant girls and delve into a little of the historical significance of the art work.
