This fragment includes the right side of the head, including the ear, and the back of the wig. The face is completely missing. The stone is black granodiorite with many large white inclusions. GD1.

From Nubia (Sudan), Kerma, desert. 1914: Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
