Engraved "No. 17348/Tiffany & Co. New York" on watch works

Provenance

Owned by Clara Hunt Snow (1843-1909) of Brockton, Massachusetts, the wife of shoe manufacturer, George G. Snow. The watch remained in the family and was offered at auction (Skinner sale no. 2391, December 11, 2007, lot 235); Purchased by MFA (Accession Date: January 23, 2008).
