This limestone block is dressed on three sides with a bottom, beveled corner. One side is smooth with incised hieroglyphs in red hieratic that denote the year, month, and day of the year. Possibly, there are mason's marks.


From Giza, mastaba G 1203. 1938: Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.
