Red-polished hemispherical bowl

This bowl is hemispherical in shape with a slight flattening towards one side of its rounded base. Both interior and exterior are treated with a burnished dark red slip. The rim is chipped and the body is cracked.

From Shellal. (ASN 7/327/3). 1907: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; awarded to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt. (Accession Date: June 12, 2006)
