Really Little to Really Tall; Sculptures, Big and Small

This week, we'll see if we can figure out what the purpose, function, and meaning is of a wide variety of work. Particular attention will be paid to comparisons between disparately sized sculptures and the rationale behind the creators' decisions.

Back in the classroom, we will model our own good luck figurines out of clay and create designs/patterns with mark-making and collage techniques. There will be a focus on making multiple subjects of different sizes (i.e. a person with a bird on their shoulder, an elephant and a dog, etc.) and considering the different feeling or effect of each.
