Embroidered and beaded purse. Metal frame and chain strap. One side has a floral motif, the other side, a scene with a man, woman and dogs.


Acquired in Paris, probably about 1920, by William Moore Robinson (b. 1857) and given to his sister, Bertha Robinson Conyngham (b. 1865 - d. 1968), Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania; by inheritance from Bertha Conyngham to her nephew's wife, Helen Monroe Robinson; late 1980s, given by Helen Robinson to her daughter-in-law, June Robinson, Milton, MA; 2011, gift of June Robinson to the MFA.
