Provenance

From one of two volumes of caricatures (I, fol. 27) probably executed by Ghezzi in Rome and also at the court of Charles, King of Naples, between 1734 and 1759 (the title page of both volumes is dated 1780); the volumes remained in the Spanish Royal Collection until the Battle of Vittoria in 1813; seized by the Duke of Wellington (1813); by descent to the 7th Duke; volumes disbound in 1971; R. M. Light, MA; acquired October 1972
