Ernst Theodore Rodenacker (about 1840-before 1894, Dantzig, Lugt 2438); probably sold to Colnaghi, London (possibly sold by Boerner, Leipzig, 15 June 1897); Atherton Curtis (1863-1943, born in New York, lived in Paris, Lugt 94) and his first wife Louise Burleigh Curtis (born 1869 -1910); his second wife and widow, Ingeborg Flinch; sold by Gutekunst & Klipstein, Bern, catalogue 78, 28 April 1955, lot 110; to Edouard Trautscholdt for C.G. Boerner, Neuelagerliste 100, 1993, item 46; private collection, Tokyo; with Pace Prints, New York, NY; from whom purchased by MFA, June 2000.
