Lugt 1952); by descent to his grandson, David John Carnegie, 10th Earl of Northesk (born 1865); probably included in his sale London, Sotheby's, 14 July 1908; Horatio Greenough Curtis; Mrs. Horatio Greenough Curtis; bequeathed by her to MFA, June or July 1927, received September 1940.
