Madonna and Child

Bartsch describes two states of this print, the second with the inscription "AC.IN. - XVIII", and the first "avant les lettres AC.IN." (but with the numeral "XVIII"?). This impression has no inscriptions, but has been abraded in the lower margin.

Verso, upper left, in pen and black ink, the mark of William Sharp (middle of the 19th century), Manchester (Lugt 2650); verso, lower left, stamped in red ink, the mark of Henry F. Sewall (1816-1896), New York (Lugt 1309); verso, upper left, stamped in violet ink, the mark of the MFA Harvey D. Parker Collection (Lugt 1870).
