Signed and dated in black watercolor l.r.: "1892 / HOMER / 189 [.]" Verso: in graphite, "just shot" [crossed out] and "No.4 A miserable [erased] "Pot hunter" [crossed out] and miscellaneous notations./Signed and dated lower right in black wash: 1892 / HOMER. On verso in graphite (Homer;s hand): No 4 A miserable Pot hunter; just shot; in pen and brown ink (Homer's hand): D--14 * 20; in blue crayon (probably Homer's hand) 6 and 26 (each in a circle).
