Pre-Columbian Gold Adornment (Mask, Pectoral & Pendant)

Before the time of Christopher Columbus, in Central America and parts of South America there lived groups of people that made masks and jewelry out of gold.  Sometimes the gold jewelry was for their special leaders to wear and at other times, they would bury their special leaders covered in gold.  We are going to look at some of these gold objects (a mask, a pectoral and a pendant necklace) and then we will make our own gold masks.
